FORT MORGAN DOWNTOWN INFRASTRUCTURE UPDATE (August 6, 2009)
Below is a summary of activities, and not to be considered all inclusive.
* ECI has reported that after the first 64 construction days the project is on schedule.
* Asphalt paving starting Friday morning (8/7/09) from Beaver to Kiowa (weather pending).  Following paving, Main Street will remain closed at Beaver to Kiowa due to the following:  continued paver installation west and east side; asphalt striping; regulatory sign install; decorative light pole install; cleaning flatwork; joint sealant; memorial plaque installation.
* Sidewalks are closed on the 200 block until the grey concrete walk is installed (by Tuesday); use rear entrances.
4.      Though the construction is coming along; it is important to obey all construction signage and barriers! People are starting to ignore the warning tape and barriers to wander through the roadway on the 300 block. Main Street is still a construction zone so please cross the street at designated areas!! The barriers will be removed when it is okay to access. It is still blocked off for various safety and construction reasons.

FORT MORGAN DOWNTOWN INFRASTRUCTURE UPDATE (July 30, 2009)
Below is a summary of activities, and not to be considered all inclusive.

Attached is a progress photo: Left is June 25, 2009, the right shows
July 31, 2009.

* ECI has reported that after the first 58 construction days the
project is on schedule.
* Opened Main Street through the Bijou intersection.
* Sidewalks are closed on the 200 block until aggregate base
course is installed (by Tuesday); use rear entrances.

FORT MORGAN DOWNTOWN INFRASTRUCTURE UPDATE (July 23, 2009)

Below is a summary of activities, and not to be considered all inclusive.

1. ECI has reported that after the first 52 construction days the project is on schedule.
2. Asphalt paving top lift is scheduled for this weekend on Main Street from Platte Ave to just North of Beaver.  This will allow ECI will open up Main Street from Platte Ave to Bijou Ave, including some of the parking on the 500 block. (3^rd announcement is a charm, right?)
3. There will be intermittent water service disruptions along Main St. from Kiowa to the tracks.

Below is a summary of activities, and not to be considered all inclusive.

1. ECI has reported that after the first 46 construction days the project is on schedule.

1. I have attached a aerial photo of the bulb-out on the SW corner of Beaver/Main Street starting to take shape.

1. Asphalt paving top lift is scheduled for this weekend (pending subgrade prep on shoulders) on Main Street from Platte Ave to just North of Beaver.  This will allow ECI will open up Main Street from Platte Ave to Bijou Ave, including some of the parking on the 500 block.

Below is a summary of activities, and not to be considered all inclusive.

1. ECI has reported that after the first 40 construction days the project is on schedule (even with monsoon-like rain).

2. Asphalt paving is scheduled for this weekend (pending weather) on Main Street from Platte Ave to just North of Beaver. This will allow ECI will open up Main Street from Platte Ave to Bijou Ave next week, including some of the parking on the 500 block.

Downtown Update from Brad Curtis – July 2nd

FORT MORGAN DOWNTOWN INFRASTRUCTURE UPDATE (July 2, 2009)
Below is a summary of activities, and not to be considered all inclusive.

1. ECI has reported that after the first 33 construction days the project is on schedule.
2. No work is scheduled for July 3rd, 4th, or 5th.
3. There will be intermittent water service disruptions along Main St. from Beaver to Railroad.
4. Activities worked this week:

1. Installed 480′ of 24″ RCP storm pipe, inlet connections and manholes along Main Street to Kiowa.

NOTICE: As of Monday, June 22, Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from Platte Avenue to south of the Kiowa intersection until approximately July 31, 2009 as part of the Downtown Infrastructure Construction Project. Additionally, Bijou, Beaver and Kiowa will be closed between the alleyways immediately east and west of Main Street.

The alleys will remain open for traffic!  The businesses’ back doors are very accessible!
